Time to Pet

Hello! I'm Phyllis Turner, owner and your personal Pet Concierge at Wanderlust Elite Pet Services

I'm so happy you stopped by! When I launched Wanderlust Elite Pet Services here in Vero Beach at the start of 2019, I wanted to take the necessary steps to establish myself as a professional service (versus a hobby), and one of the first things I did was to join Pet Sitter’s International. Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters. PSI is dedicated to educating professional pet sitters and promoting, supporting and recognizing excellence in pet sitting. Through PSI, I have access to the most up-to-date educational resources and business tools to help provide the best possible service to my clients and their pets. As a member of PSI, I feel that I am able to offer the best possible care for my clients and also help ensure my own longevity in the industry by taking advantage of the many educational opportunities offered. As a professional pet sitter, it’s important to me to take advantage of opportunities that demonstrate my commitment to the profession and pursue educational opportunities and trainings that will enable me to respond appropriately to the various pet-sitting situations I may encounter and answer any questions or concerns posed by my clients. I've completed extensive training through PSI and carry the official designation of “Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS)” as well as being a Fear Free Certified Professional Pet Sitter through Fear Free Pets. I am Bonded, Insured, and can provide proof of a clear criminal history to my clients. In addition to being a U.S. Air Force Veteran, offering third-party credentials that verify I have a history of honesty and integrity is critical to me because as your pet care provider, I realize you are granting me access to your home & putting me in charge of your beloved animal companions and hopefully, this gives you additional peace of mind. Another certification that I am proud to announce receiving through Pet Tech is a certification in Pet CPR and First Aid. I am constantly in the process of gathering testimonials from past & current pet sitting clients and I also keep a list of references that I can provide to you at any time. Please feel free to request these at any time. My experience with pets is extensive. I had a pet sitting business in Missouri in the 90's but when I got so busy I needed to hire help, I froze. I didn't know the first thing about being an employer and hiring help so I stopped taking new clients and ended up going back into the corporate world after burning myself out. My husband and I also built a 20 acre farm from scratch and raised everything from horses, alpacas, chickens, guinea hens, turkeys, and several dogs and cats before we sold everything and moved to Florida in April of 2013. Jon and I have been married since January of 1985 and we have one grown son who is married and living in Kansas City, Missouri. I currently have a dog and 5 cats and I volunteer extensively for HALO No-Kill Rescue in Sebastian and foster orphaned kittens until they're big enough to be put up for adoption. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and serving you and your furry companions for years to come! You can visit my pet care blog over at https://www.whiskersnwags.life

Ready to Meet & Greet

I require a complimentary Meet & Greet prior to your needing my services so we can be sure we're all a good fit and you can walk me through your routines for your pets before my first visit.
This usually takes 30-45 minutes.
